Nah he sucks just as much on DS9 as he does TNG. The episode where he is seconded to the Klingon ship would play out just the same no matter which decade it took place in.

Other than getting over loving a 90's version of a trans gender MtF, Worf does not grow at all.

Hey, look. Look, if- if you screw me on this, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine, you rat bastard!
Worf got replaced in that episode Parallels and no one noticed for a while.

Somewhere in another universe there's a Worf getting his rear end kicked on DS9 every single day and Odo/Quark has to bail him out.

Sorry but nah that's kind of nonsense, he definitely loses his strict weeabo Klingon honor stuff and acts like more of a real person as DS9 goes on.

Oh sorry. Which episode was it where he stopped literally living on a battle bridge filling his ears with the squealing of Klingon Opera 24/7?

Yeah I didn't say he totally ditched Klingon stuff or that he suddenly was some super amazing character, I simply said he has more depth on DS9 than TNG. Don't get your panties in a twist.

And he stopped living there at some point midway through the show

Not like he didn't decide to defy the Klingon government because of a moral issue and thus get his entire family stripped of honor and lands or anything. Or not like he had to command a ship and deal with the consequences of his command decisions or something.

Iirc that was James Horner's first film he scored. He even had a cameo running thru the corridors. Funny how he recycled a bunch of it for Aliens.

He recycled A LOT. But ya, the klingon theme in st3 is the EXACT same as the xenomorph theme in aliens.

Well if we can openly discuss such things, then I'm currently downloading a DS9 torrent that is 126GB. I likes mah quality.

If I watch it on my computer or my TV it's gonna be stretched to 1080p so I'd like it to look as good as possible.

He sucks just in a different way.

In TNG he is a giant pussy because they wanted to show that things were a threat by having them whip his rear end, except that's all anything ever did. And he always wanted to take the most direct, most violent approach to things so everyone told him to gently caress off.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edflm7Hh3hs

In DS9 he is a weeaboo that won't shut up about Klingon culture. He spends half an episode whining about how candles are replicated and not actually hand made from the remains of a kill, or how they need to have the feast after a blood sacrifice, or that you need to hit someone with the correct side of your hand.

Like I mentioned earlier, a klingon woman shows up at Quarks so he starts hitting people and yelling to impress her and her dad has to pull him aside and tell him that he is embarrassing himself.

They developed the character beyond "Gets punched out to make a situation serious" but he is still terrible.

I saw a bunch of ST:II extras on youtube a year or two ago, that I think were from the Blueray. It's really interesting to hear Ricardo Montalbán talking about how scared he was of coming off as a joke as Khan since he had just done Fantasy Island for years. Or how the different writers/producers were making sure that story and characters stayed true to the lore. Also some good stuff on set design and props as well. The best trek movie has the best dvd extras.

Montalban had quite a career before Fantasy Island. Maybe most were forgettable roles but he had steady work for years. Khan was probably his best role.

Am I alone I thinking Worf would love a turd with some fight in it?

Like a dribbly one that gets everywhere would be without honor. But a hard one that makes him put on his "fighting chair" shoulder straps and bite down on a strip of targ leather would be an honorable batch of nugs.
