I just found out this game has achievements each class has two that award sprays (pixelated and chibi style) and some of them are pretty fun (Earthshatter->Fire Strike->Charge an enemy with Reinhardt) and challenging (get a scoped headshot kill while flying through the air as Widowmaker) http://overwatch.wikia.com/wiki/Achievements

demos just record inputs and gamestate, and you replay them by running those things back through the client. They're trivial to include in a game and way less computationally intensive than taking a video of the screen

they have said that "someday" they want to release proper support for demos apparently. i don't think it ever sves them to disk, they only last for one session of the game client so you can get the play of the game and stuff. i guess it has something to do with this thing theyre doing with facebook for sharing whatever, and they haven't defined an external file format or something? idk how demos normally get encoded, it strikes me that it ought to be prettty simple

I'm sure they'll roll out DOTA 2-tier spec/record/analyze/etc features eventually but for now I guess they figure twitch exists and anyone with a big enough hardon to record/stream/analyze themselves is already using it

It's a blizzard title so it'll never be properly balanced and will have an absolutely poo poo community in general but overwatch is pretty good for a "hop on for 30-60 minutes" sort of shooter.

If you're deece with him you can get some pretty great plays of the game too just by dropping your shield to quickly murder the entire enemy team before continuing on to support the team

Junkrat is ridiculous sometimes. You can sit out of view of the control point but angle your grenade launcher so that you're firing into it. Sure, somebody will find you eventually but you can go right back to your spot and start over again.
