Oh, so Modern Warfare 1 Multiplayer Update: After playing on two different servers, I've learned that the remaining community knows what's up. Both have outlawed the following: Jugg, Tubes(Both noob and RPG I think), UAV Jam, Dead Silence, and... I think a few others? I was allowed to use C4 and Claymores as well as Stopping Power. And also playing as the SMG Preset made me want to try C4 more, whether offensively or defensively.

I remember a guy who wanted to set up a goon league for MW1/2 (I forget), with rules like that in the Private Servers subforum yeears back. They basically gave him poo poo until he caved and said everything was allowed. I wish I'd screencapped that thread. It was hilarious.

A side effect of server admins setting their own rules are old man servers where you cannot jump, sprint, or even stand up. You have to stay tactically crouched the entire time because that's "realistic." It's hardly a problem in CoD4, but it's a plague in W@W and BLOPS1.
