I'll take tame and well themed vs crazy for the sake of crazy with a super hero/villain name slapped on it just for kicks.

I want to go to the Mother Ship too.

Pretty stoked. a tad disappointe that our plans to stay at Disneyland Hotels were foiled though. We were all set with the price and everything (Cast member discounts are nice) and then they slapped on a huge tax and basically brought the price up by 200 dollars. Dreams dashed in seconds.

The TA rates for DL Hotel suck. $200 for one night. I still REALLY want to stay there though. Braksgirl fucked around with this message at 15:17 on Jun 10, 2016 |

For going to the Blue Bayou, make reservations, get there early, tell them you want a water table, wait a bit longer for that table... and here's the big trick... When you start to get your order taken, just order desert. You get the ambiance, you can sit there eating desert for a while, and you get to skip the (imho) over-priced mediocre food. There's definitely better food in the park(s), but I agree with BB... there's not many better places to eat. I do really enjoy Carthay Circle for lunch though. Especially with the World of Color package. I almost kinda wish we had a Disneyland thread.

Don't forget your Holiday Dining Coupons work at Disneyland! Hello 50% off at the Blue Bayou! Which I ate at for the first time the last time I went. Despite working Pirates out here, I had never gone growing up. I enjoyed it. Universal Hollywood is pointless for Orlando natives since they just like to clone rides. Only reason we went was for HHN.

Mom threw up on mission space. Family is just coating these parks in vomit this trip. La Cava rejected my brother's legit ID, so we walked out and skipped Mexico entirely on our drink around the world.

I went to Disneyland in April and it was great. Really enjoyed seeing all the differences between the parks. The Paint the Night Parade in Disneyland puts Main Street Electrical Parade to shame. Oh and on the topic of coasters, California Screamin' is a better coaster than any at WDW. One thing about Disneyland, I like getting pins and pins are way less prevalent there than at WDW. I saw somewhere that the reason is Disney doesn't require cast members to wear pins as much since there were too many bad mannered adults doing pins in DLR. My 180 day date is coming up. I think on the 12th. At what hour do they open up? Midnight? Cause... yeah I'll be awake at midnight, but not near a computer. Can I do it on my phone? Edit: And yes the Blue Bayou restaurant has problems. But it is a restaurant inside one of my favorite rides ever and is a pretty unique experience. Everyone should do it at least once

We're going up to Orlando next weekend as a last minute thing, and a friend who works at Disney passed on 4 of his comped e-tickets, which is nice. My main query is how do I do the fast pass+ element of these... Is there a site I go to and then type a number off the ticket and book things to do? As far as I know my friends never been, so wouldn't know how to do it! Let's hope this isn't wasted on me... I'm not really a thrill ride kind of guy. I did Universal last year and enjoyed things like Transformers / Simpsons (which my brain weirdly bought into as being very real somehow!), but the Mummy mini coaster thing wasn't my idea of fun, and no way in hell was I getting on the big one! Halloween Horror Nights ruled though.

You'll enjoy Disney just fine. The only ride that's as intense as Mummy is Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster, everything else is pretty tame. The Magic Kingdom coasters are all family tier, etc.

You probably won't like Space Mountain if you didn't like the Mummy so (as much as I hate to say it) probably skip that. I said it like 4 posts back but do not pass up Splash Mountain even though its a log flume ride. it is so so so sosososososos good.
