It's not like they are going to magically coalesce into good competition when the right people join. I feel like instead of balancing the teams in the same instance (which doesn't happen vs a premade, you just just keep getting curbstomped), a better system would be to keep the pub team intact, but jump to a different opponent team based on win/loss history -- weighted like hearthstone arena. Essentially, I want to keep playing with the same people for more than one map. It sucks getting in sync with someone and suddenly they are your opponent. Eventually, the good teams would find each other.
