Is Meenah always completely honest about Aranea? Meenah, mentioned at some point after [S] Game Over that Aranea actually tried to be in charge and take all the limelight in their session, to which Vriska responds that yeah, Aranea was doing all the heavy lifting when it came to the boats. If Aranea was the egotist Meenah states, surely she would've claimed credit for it? Meenah's comment doesn't read like Aranea being content to be the quiet hand in the shadows, whereas up until Game Over, she was more than happy to play the role of Merlin. IE, facilitate others being heroes, such as coaching Jake or letting Vriska claim credit.

God drat Ascend is good. This is one of the best Homestuck tracks ever, I feel like. Breeze, Lilith in Starlight, Starfall, Moonsweater...there are some really stellar tracks on this album.

Personally i don't really like Vol 10 at all. I mean, it's not BAD or anything, just really uninspired. Which i guess makes it a perfect fit for the Homestuck ending. Still, it's kinda dull to have an album consisting almost exclusively of remixes of tracks that already have like ten remixes each beforehand. And everyone thought they were clever by making the tracks 4:13 or 3:14 or 6:12 long and it just gets sorta silly.

I felt kinda that way about the first few tracks, but the album's back half feels really strong to me. Like, from Voidlight on it starts to really pick up.

Yeah, Vol 10 hasn't felt super strong to me, but I'm really digging Ascend - really love the idea of "inverting" Descend, and love that it quotes Arisen Anew.

The album made me very happy and I was glad I stayed up late to hear all of it. There was nothing I fast-forwarded through on first listen, and the extended storytelling tracks were wonderful. "THIS Pumpkin" came as the greatest surprise, and a lovely one. Tensei's teaser summary of the whole thing. Do Homestuck albums usually come with any sort of liner notes? I bought the album, but didn't see any.

I like Volume 10 more the more I listen to it. Lilith in Starlight is really pretty, and in general there are just a lot of melodic, sweet-sounding tracks on here.
