Maybe the most poo poo episode of the season. Arya's interminable training montage is resolved in the most boring way possible, blackfish dies offscreen, cleganebowl is literally outlawed. At least there's class warfare and terrible jokes in Mereen to save us. Also Varys just got written out of the show, as the plotline that is his entire reason for existence never made the cut.

I liked how both the waif and the blackfish died of screen, while we got another Tyrion talks and drinks with two boring characters - that's what this episode really needed.

This might be one of the lowest lows of the series. Everything about the Arya plotline, Riverrun resolution, and Dany waltzing into the room from a cheap rear end door is like just Dorne level bullshit

How loving hard could it have been to have Arya snarl, "NOT TODAY" to the servant of the god of death while cutting the candle I mean that wasn't a great episode, but that one line would have boosted it from a D to a C-

The show probably would've been much better if they did GRRM's original time hop. They're desperate to condense the plot and clean up side stories and the execution has been miserable.

I hated aryas storyline since she left the Hound but cutting the candle was a clever move and they didn't beat the audience over the head to explain it. The being fine after stab wounds is still dumb but that part was good so it was only a 99% dumb plot.
