All of these messages features really make me dread group chats with my family after iOS 10 comes out. New notifications and side by side in safari on iPad is cool though.

Hey ho, we're finally getting a new file system! Here comes Apple File System! (ZFS? WTF is that) https://developer.apple.com/library...inkElementID_27 Some highlights from that: Apple posted:APFS supports 64-bit inode numbers, which improves upon the 32-bit file IDs supported by HFS+. As a 64-bit file system, APFS supports over 9 quintillion files on a single volume. Wonder if someone has a FileMaker Pro database that big... (wouldn't surprise me if some biotech guys did) Apple posted:APFS supports 1 nanosecond timestamp granularity, which improves upon the 1 second timestamp granularity of HFS+. I can have a seperate version of a document for each nanosecond? Apple posted:APFS formatted volumes are not recognized on OS X 10.11 Yosemite and earlier. Pretty sure this is a typo. Other than not being bootable (yet), it looks impressive..

It's not impossible that they'll be released outside of any events. I do understand how some people are feeling about this, but I'd advise everyone to follow the advice in the First Post That Nobody Reads (TM) in the Mac hardware thread, particularly "if you need it, buy it" and even more "Nobody knows when Apple is going to do poo poo".
