Alternate skin colours also mask signals of health we are wired to look for, making them look much more 'attractive' to a human brain by not having any moles or blemishes or spots, etc. Works with pretty much any colour skin tone that isn't bright enough or dark enough to disrupt shadows.

 Disney Mandos:  There's soooo much Atlantis The Lost Empire cosplay out there. Here's that same Vinny with a really great Moliere and the only Cookie I've seen so far:  I haven't seen anyone attempt to cosplay as Joshua. There's a bunch of buff guys who are into ATLE cosplay but they usually dress as Kida instead
