Also, Link as a character is a total blank slate for the player. He has no personality besides "courageous", and has bare-minimum silent protagonist responses to the world around him. It doesn't really matter what Link's gender is because Link never expresses anything to other characters besides pantomimed "glad to see you", "mad to see you", "this is an awkward hug", "yes I will carry out this quest for you", and other pretty non-specific sentiments. It's not like a Tifa Lockhart, who has like a hundred pages of dialog and a lot of poo poo to say about being a woman and having motherly feelings, or a Samus Aran, who needs permission from a man to fire her weapons, and also needs emotional validation from that same man.

I miss having a ton of Nintendo games covered at E3. It feels really weird not having any surprises to get hyped about. Guess this will happen in the eventual Nintendo Direct for the NX sometime between now and March.

Holy poo poo I kind of wanted a female Link but just loving drop it. There's so much cool game to be talking about and people in this thread are just trolling one guy - and the trolling isn't even funny anymore, just annoying. That cooking mechanic seemed to be fun to dick around with, though I wonder how the lack of hearts in grass/pots will affect boss design, since many boss areas had them built in for health restoration.
