Moving away from isolated attacks on meetings etc, most major news groups cover the national-level demos. All the recent dover ones have gone national (international for January Dover), as did a few others. It's not that the media won't cover confrontations, it's that the national media won't cover 25 people getting in a scrap in some godforsaken shithole in the middle of nowhere because a meeting got disrupted. I understand their reasoning on that - it's a small local event that won't sell national papers.

And the news is responsible for both of those, because both of those were made into news.

The news says "corbyn is a terrible socialist and will destroy us all" and some people hear "corbyn supports an actually sensible political ideology"

The news repeats whatever insanity trump comes up with and some people agree with it.

Both of those are news, the news is not interested in publishing stories about fascists because it's not shocking and they don't care to make it shocking. And the public is not interested in it by default either.

What you are suggesting is basically "you need to somehow make people very interested in this thing they aren't interested in, or convince a paper to invest a bunch of time trying to turn it into a story."

I'm not sure why you think there'd be so much demand for watching poorly lit, shaky videos of anonymous groups of people briefly scuffling outside a pub. There are literally thousands of videos on YouTube that come up if you search "antifa fight" but very few have captured the nation's interest in the way you seem to imagine they would.
