The medallion system decimates the value of small teams. Smaller teams' garages start burning down.

Yeah Jerry Nadeau was in a Harry Melling car in 1999 and in which the team had the sponsorship from Turner Media so late 90s had the Cartoon Network car which became the WCW/NWO car. Sure was a thing.

I want to do a "would, would, woundn't..." joke but there's a lot of kids/mentally challenged in this picture, so I'll instead point out that the old guy behind the guy in the Braves shirt looks like a creepy old man in a Colonel Sanders jacket. Thanks for sharing.

I'm positive Lake Speed was in a Cartoon Network car, though I don't know if it was after Nadeau.

Before. It was 1998- Speed was one of the cars that spun to bring out the caution which won Dale Sr. the Daytona 500. I think Nadeau replaced him after he was fired from the Elliott/Marino car.

I'm watching "JUNE 17, 1994" on Netflix. During one of the scenes they show a channel flipping effect which lands on a Cup show on Prime Network. https://twitter.com/GallesKraco3/status/742977637140815872 Any one have any more information on it? I can't recall watching Cup broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, CBS, TBS, TNN and TNT during that era, but I don't recall ever seeing any sort of news program on "PRIME" (I mean I could have perhaps watched ASA on there, but I'd have had more information on ASA than I would PRIME). (Also I would imagine they're talking about Rusty winning at Pocono the previous week, and whom was looking best to win at MIS)

yeah, I'm just trying to figure out if it's an ASA/ARCA/Winston West broadcast or some sort of "INSIDE NASCAR" show honestly. I get stupidly fascinated with this stuff. I mean it was a Friday Night..so it could have very well been a race.

The best 'NASCAR showing up in some random TV show' was a softcore porn series on Cinemax where (iirc) a woman was watching tv, flipped to a NASCAR Cup race at Sears Point, and started masturbating. Then she imagines one of the drivers in the shower (another actor in the show who was a big-time driver) with her ... and you know what happens from there.

Raceline is a syndicated show hosted by Joe Moore which shows up on regional or local sports channels. I think I've seen it on SportsTime Ohio a time or two. http://www.racelineonline.com/ Showtime, which I think is a Viacom network, also had Inside NASCAR.

It was all too much. She caressed her Esses impatiently. She wanted his gear shift. Needed it. Desired more than anything for him to ram in the clutch, his sex Toyota slamming deep into her braking zone. The white flag came out. More would follow. There would be no overtime. "Take me, Kyle!" she screamed. "Take me to victory lane!"

It wasn't the racers as much as it was the boat constructors. Cash that needed to be laundered, an industry with almost no regulations (boat construction, not operation) and a central location to the drug trade. What a glorious mix. http://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/falcon-and-magluta-6364835 http://www.powerandmotoryacht.com/other/thunderboat-row etc etc ad infinitum
