It seems to me like the more people who are probably playing the more likely I am to get a balanced match. If I play first thing in the morning (I have a toddler, so I mean like 6AM CST) on a Saturday or Sunday (wear condoms!) I'm much more likely to stomp or be stomped. If I wait till 8-9PM when the kid is in bed then I'll usually get pretty even games. I have to wonder if that sort of thing is why people's experiences in this thread so often don't match up -- some are playing in prime time and others aren't.

Edit: and what the hell is Hanzo doing in the little video clip on Battle.net for "Let's Talk Competitive Play"? Trying to brush off his nipple?

I've seen people suggest you turn on player health when playing Zarya. Where is that menu? Also, is there a stat that tracks you number of POTG?

Options > Controls > select Zarya instead of 'All Heroes', section 'Hero' has option 'Allied health bars'

Options - Controls - Dropdown at top right where it says All Heroes -- Change to Zarya. Also Zarya loving owns. So fun.

Kinda wish there was one for Lucio to automatically attach to walls.

It takes a clever player to make the most out of Mei. Her weapon doesn't do much damage so she's not all that lethal on her own, especially against a tank (I can't kill a tank unless I use her ult). Mei is there to slow down and frustrate the enemy.

Mei annihilates Rein, and can make things miserable for Roadhog (although it can be a little tough finishing him off because of his self heal). I'm terrified of Zarya when i play Mei, but also when I play lots of characters so whatever. DVa is an easy target.

I've actually been having good results with Mei on Offensive Payload maps. Since the opposing team tends to naturally build defensive lines around chokepoints, its really easy for Mei to throw up Icewalls in front of their LOS, which negates the defense line's killzone almost entirely.

My win rate/objective time for Mei on Payload as gone wei up, but all my other stats have wei gone down.

Offensive Torbjorn on payload maps is so hilarious, people on consoles often flat out don't know how to deal with it

I've won 6 of my last 7 matches this way, with my only loss being a kings row match where the enemy team went triple junkrat on the last point

Is there a way you can see your team's health bars for all classes, or is there some other method of seeing HP? It makes no-communication solo queuing all that more fun when you can't tell who should get a health kit.

Her right click is more powerful than McCree's left click, but has the disadvantage of not being hitscan and requires more leading.

She can also gently caress up Genji's day something fierce because it turns out anime lovers have a natural fear of women.

She's great at killing Genji, but terrible at killing Hanzo, because his arrows with their generous hit allowance make short work of Mei's "real woman" hitbox at any range. She's also bad at killing S76, he and McCree can both fire enough fast enough to kill Mei before freezing solid.

I'll never understand character mains in this game. It's not a fighting game where you need to focus on one character, or TF2 where you could lock Scout, Soldier or Demo and not really change ever.

I wonder how flankers like Tracer and Genji fare on consoles. On the one hand, I imagine they're quite a bit weaker because on PC they rely on a lot of quick 180s and fast, precise close-range tracking to make them really dangerous. On the other hand, I bet it's nice sneaking up on people who can't turn around.

a good tracer/genji is pretty hard to deal with since you can't track them nearly as well due to all of their movement options, tracer moreso than genji in my experience. it doesn't matter that they can't turn as fast because neither can you

torb's fine and doesn't need any kind of nerf, idk what that other guy was talking about

I play similar to your hours and get pretty frustrated. What I really want is some group indicator for when people are in a party. So I know when it's futile to stay in the queue.
