I just came back from a morning trip to Costco -- if you go on a weekend and aren't there the moment it opens, you're gonna have a bad time.

Today they had fresh, authentic Hawaiian ahi tuna poke again, so I picked up some for us and two different kinds for our neighbors to sample. I also got a two-pack of "memory fiber" pillows because my wife desperately needs a new pillow. She has severe chronic back and neck pain, so I'm hoping this helps her sleep better, and if not, at least Costco has the best return policy.

Pornhub. XTube. I know these names, better than I know my own grandmothers.
I just went and bought Chlorine and Shock. Saved like $75 over buying it at the dedicated pool/hot tub places. Still have to buy alkalinity and neutralizer but still.

Also pollock burgers. The salmon ones, while delicious give me really bad heartburn for some reason. The Pollock burgers (and regular salmon for that matter) don't. It's really weird.

Their vodka is from the same distillery/bottling facility as Goose so it wouldn't surprise me.

The Harry's organic tapioca pudding turned out to be amazing, definitely buy some if you're a fan of good tapioca pudding. I don't think I've ever gotten something from Costco that I didn't like.

Edit: also, why aren't his pepperonis done? Mine come out looking like the pizza on the box errytime and his pizza looks like rear end. Next time I make one I will take a picture for the thread.

Are the new thin crusts good? I've been wanting to try it for lazy night but haven't gotten around to it, we like our super crispy and able to add a few toppings.

I used this as a sous-vide marinade for a pork loin, one of the top 10 decisions in my life. After 6 hours that flavor was all through the meat.

I stopped buying quest and bought these instead last weekend. Less expensive and taste better? Heck yeah! I just hope I don't get sick of just two flavors all of the time.

Their select bourbon is basically Knob Creek and their Tennessee Whiskey is Jim Beam, I believe. Both good. Maybe the select is like a Gentleman Jack? I dunno, I'm not that discerning, I can just tell "good" vs "kinda good" vs "this came out of a plastic bottle"

My Costco doesn't carry liquor, and that's a good thing because otherwise I would probably be an alcoholic by now.

Costco's liquor selection varies wildly from state to state, thanks to our wildly varying liquor laws. In Michigan, we've got the Kirkland-branded vodka, blended scotch, and just recently the spiced rum. But we've never had the single malt scotch or the tequila, since those apparently never got approved for sale by the state.

Our Costcos also carry about 4-5 different brands of bourbon and vodka, and 2-3 of gin, scotch, tequila, rum, cognac, and a few random other things.

-put chicken thighs in crockpot
-dump however much pineapple-habanero sauce you want on it i ain't a math major
-piss off for a while
-serve over brown rice so the rice absorbs the sauce
-post on the internet about how smart you are

If your Costco doesn't carry the pineapple-habanero sauce -- or has stopped carrying it goddamnit -- this recipe makes a solid dupe. Use nitrile gloves when chopping the peppers for Pete's sake.

Yeah, the savings on cat litter alone pays for our Costco membership every year. And headache pills. Maybe I should cut back on the drinking. Thank god they don't sell booze here.

I love many things at Costco, but one of my favorites is the large plastic jugs of mixed nuts from Kirkland. Also, I think all my jeans that still fit me are Kirkland brand now too. They fit me well, and gently caress they are cheap.

I generally try to just stop by after work on a week day, which seems to be easy enough.

We demand to be taken seriously

Oh man, if you gotta go on a weekend try to be there ten minutes before opening. They sometimes open early (especially near holidays), and you can get your shopping done before the hordes arrive. Park strategically for a quicker exit.

Also, for any goons missing a beloved item, be sure to fill out a comment card to request the item be brought back. They really do read those and the Buyers take them seriously.

Finally getting a Visa debit card to replace the American Express one I've used for the past couple years. The card was inconvenient in a few ways, like not being able to get cash back at stores and having a lot of places not accept AmEx at all, but being unable to use my card at Costco is going to be intolerable so it's time to switch.
