It's hardlocking them not bricking them. Which is major I guess just not quite the same. Edit: terrible new page. I just realised I'm talking about this poo poo game in at least 3 threads now. I need to fire up some actual good games to give me something better to do than follow rumours about a crappy game.

The one thing that I'm grateful for about Star Citizen is that it didn't promise a good single player campaign or I so would have backed at the minimum level. Now I can laugh at the mess without having lost money. Though I did throw the minimum at Unsung Story. And once again that's not even entertaining bad just a project that's clearly dead but the developers still pop up once and awhile to tell us everything is ok.....really......things are fine. Don't pay attention to the lack of updates or people quitting but we're totally on track with the multiplayer that wasn't in the kickstarter and nobody asked for ever.

Yeah, I did the minimum for that one, too. IIRC, they basically switched focus immediately from single-player to online multiplayer, and everything basically came crashing down after that. I always wonder what happens to the stuff for those $10k donors.

The dumb thing is that it was a short delay (3 months) near the end of the game's development. MN9 had had somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 delays. And Star Citizen exists in some kind of nebulous quantum half-state where it's still being worked on but will never actually be released and it's your fault for caring about it.

And of course the delay for No Man's Sky was due to a secret lawsuit over the trademark of the work "sky", so all the death threats were just icing on that whole stupidity cake.

Debated putting this in the OSHA thread but I think it'll fit slightly better here *warning personal story incoming* I work on an industrial estate. A guy on the other side that's moving out has been having a lot of problems. I'll call him Wood. Anyway Wood is an rear end in a top hat that asks tons of favours from everyone and always acts like everyone he deals with is cheating him. He's one of the sourest most unhappy people I've met. Turns out he's been paying some shady company for years to get rid of his waste. They've been doing this by bundling it up and shoving it anywhere people didn't use. Empty units, fields around back you name it there's ton bundles of compressed trash there. Now that he's leaving these places are being opened up and he's being charged 80k for the cleanup. Now I guess you can argue he might not of known the company wasn't disposing correctly but I really doubt it. He either knew or flat didn't care. To add to the general misery all the sites are now covered in flies. My office is a cloud of chemical poison I've sprayed just to keep the flies down to reasonable levels. I hear a company that has a lot of frozen food across the way is going insane. tl:dr rear end in a top hat charged 80k to cleanup his trash and everyone is now fighting an army of flies. Edit: forgot to mention some of the poo poo caught fire a few days ago which is how we learned about all this. Darkhold has a new favorite as of 12:57 on Jun 23, 2016 |

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but just in case it's clear he didn't hire actual licensed people but just paid whoever was willing to get rid of it for the cheapest. Considering how much of this stuff is spread around places he has access to it's very very doubtful he hadn't stumbled on the mess before this and had a chance to get it sorted before it came to this.
