Man, I really have had to change my perception of the game after reading through forums and such. It's not a survival game, it's a style game. The person who escapes is not the winner, it's whoever can get that SS point rank

I've been frustrated because I can't kill everyone most of the time, but it's not the point of the game so now I'm going to terrify some assholes instead.

The point of the game is to faithfully recreate a bad slasher horror movie where people keep nearly dying and improbably surviving before there's an orgy of violence near the end and a few lucky souls survive.... OR DO THEY?

Tips for what should I be doing if someone is infinitely juking? Like lets say at that area with 4 windows at the top of the factory. Am I supposed to just give up and find someone else who will also infinitely juke? If I come back for the person they run to the top of the factory while 3 other survivors turn on all the generators and I haven't even so much as tapped anyone yet.

That spot in particular you will never get them. Even with traps it just makes it manageable instead of impossible. Leave, assume the generator is a goner, and hope you can nab them somewhere else. The infinite juking is extremely frustrating when it happens but to be honest it doesn't happen all that often unless you regularly play with higher than rank 10. Most people who try to do it don't actually know how and get caught. One shot on a window is usually enough. Just like with the rest of the game the key to surviving is to not panic. Most people who take a hit while trying to infinite juke will panic and leave the jukespot where it's easy to get the second hit. Never chase people in the following unless you know you can get them: Ironworks (the worst) The small building in Azarov's Resting Place The bus The entrance to the mine in Suffocation Pit The fallen grain silo (More manageable once the pallets are broken. Trap the window in the tall grass and you'll get someone every time) The body shop The coal tower is pretty bad but not the worst The Blood Lodge is doable The farmhouse in Coldwind is actually a deathtrap, nobody gets out of that place alive Mister Bup fucked around with this message at 22:26 on Jun 23, 2016 |

I treat infinite juke spots as calling house and just go off to find someone else. I like the Hillbilly right now because there's no healkit cheese allowed when you smack them with a chainsaw and if you're against a really good survivor team you need to hit them before they reach their juke points. It needs a fix and I'm sure the Devs are aware of how silly it is.

Man, I really like Saboteur. I just wish I had it at a higher rank that 1; it is agonizingly slow at this level. Still fun to destroy hooks (or the Trapper's traps), though. I do find it odd that successful skill checks while sabotaging hooks make a loud noise, though, while missing them makes no actual noise but seems to alert the killer as every time I've screwed one up the killer showed up not too long afterward.

# ? Jun 23, 2016 22:31 |
Yeah they get a notification similar to a failed check on a generator. Rank 1 sabotage is pretty garbage, probably not worth using, at rank 2 it's decent but still quite slow, can't wait to get rank 3.

teammates.png 2 guys got camped by the chainsawman with approximately no chance of rescue and I literally never saw the 3rd player so it became a game of metal gear solid while I took down all the hooks on half of the map that had the last 3 generators (away from the basement) and got them all to 99% before hitting them and juking the killer back to the escape hatch

Midway through my last game, I had the 'I shouldn't be camping this hooked dude' epiphany and my points doubled what they normally are. Also, I love playing The Hillbilly. The map shrinks to half the size. Nowhere is safe. You have to get really good, or at least competent, at the chainsaw sprint though.

I played a few private games with some friends last night, and we were just messing around mostly. I escaped via the hatch one game and got awarded my 15k blood points at the end for realsies. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this bug but I'm not gonna complain about it. Even at my mighty rank of 20 basically every game has at least one person disconnect. Aside from a leaver penalty (and maybe a lobby fishing penalty though if they add a with friends mode that should dial way down) I'd like to see a partial reward if your team mates escape even if you die. Being hook camped isn't really fun but knowing that it's buying your team time to finish and get out, and get you some points too, would make it less annoying.

I still love my Trapper, but the Hillbilly has now become my Designated Rank 1 Killer. Nothing quite like taking down someone thirty levels higher than I am with a chainsaw to the face. Case in point. The fourth guy obviously pulled the plug when I sawed him right as the match started. God drat is it hard to get points with killer though. E. Goddamn, next to the toolbox the map might be the best item in the game. Not for using, no no no. But 300 objective points every time you walk past something? Ask me how I realized there was an upper limit on how many points you can get in one category... CuddleCryptid fucked around with this message at 07:08 on Jun 24, 2016 |

And with nothing but rank 1 whispers too Probably gonna start putting time into Wraith. I really want SHadowborn at least but Bloodhound sounds cool if the blood really is bubblegum pink. I may as well do him now and not gently caress over my other characters by forcing them to go through the really long levels to get it. I knew Wraith would be bullshit without window cheese the first time I won a game as survivor. Without cheese 90% of staying alive is not being seen and Wraith has about a thousand different ways to find you.

I'm reaching a point where I just have absolutely no interest in playing with high level Jake's. I'm okay with anything high level meg's, claudette's or dwights can do. It does. 48/40/32. 32 is still probably too long for a perk slot So what's this thing about making lots of points with the Wraith? Because surprise spam is only 250 each and that's nowhere near enough considering it means I'm spending the whole game camping one person. Maybe that game wasn't a good indicator since three of them spawned together and teamed a generator every thirty seconds it seemed. Also, remove No One Escapes and just make all hits in the exit chamber insta-down. I don't think I"ve ever seen a game where so many people so consistently BM you. It's like playing counterstrike if every single player teabagged everyone they killed every time. I dunno what's worse, watching fuckers sit there in their unkillable jukespots, or knowing even if I did get them they'd just disconnect.
