On a lighter note, increasing security presence in Northern Ireland contravenes the terms of the Good Friday Agreement so unless the border checkpoints are an unmanned white picket fence, we'll be the explodey part of Ireland again. Thanks pig fucker.

2.New money is printed only by the government, and then, only enough to counteract the natural deflation that would occur in a system without fractional reserve banking.
3.The government uses this money (and only this money), divided among all of its necessary roles. Any extra is divided evenly among citizens and businesses that over-produce, to offset the loss of not selling their over-production (the government buying the over-production for its own use, which can be bought by citizens later if they so desire at the same price.)
4.Goods bought by the government are later sold by the government (or used by it), and normal governmental services (such as postage) are sold. These goods and services provide the standard backing for the currency, similar to how gold is used to back the gold standard.

TBF what is the brexit argument that doesn't solely consist of gently caress LIBERALS

The EU has hosed up a lot of stuff over the last 8 years, particularly w/r/t economics and the euro currency, and generally refuse to even admit the possibility that they could be wrong? And that there's an obvious problem with a non-democratic decision making class who hold a fair amount of power but little accountability.

Not that the UK has been on the sharp end of those decisions. The conservatives who rant about EU bureaucracy are all angry with health & safety regulations or the idea that cars should have a minimum gas mileage. But it probably helps sway some of the people in the middle who watched the Greece economic torture last year and though "gently caress this whole EU system".

Brussels has gotten a whole bunch of wake-up calls over the last several years that they needed to shape up and find ways to make both the haves and the have-nots happy, rather than be totally servile to the money. They've ignored all of them, maybe this time they won't just hit the snooze again.

Or maybe the EU needs to be completely taken apart or re-formulated into something that won't completely destroy it's own member nations in the service of big banks.
