was there a model m ever made win winkeys? like actual ibm/lexmark hardware, not unicomp

i always found it odd that the tail end of model m production seems to have omitted winkeys

Don't you just hate when you wind up in a store with people who are in a socioeconomic class that is pretty obviously about two levels lower than your own?
it could have used an OS/2 logo instead of a Windows logo

no one else used os keys before 95? i could've sworn 3.11 did, but maybe that's revisionism on my part

'tis, I don't think 3.11 even recognized the key code period.

Your best bet is still a unicomp, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

If you're dead-set on finding an antique mech keyboard with windows keys, you might look in to an AT101W

hi keyboard thread. my wasd v2 80% with browns and dank pbt caps has been serving me well, but i'm tired of shlepping it back and forth between work and home, so i bought a second kb. i wanted to try the 60% layout, along with the cherry clears that echi suggests. so i bought one of these: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1288. the keycaps are abs but still doubleshot and they feel like good quality. layout will take some getting used to (fingers keep reaching for arrow keys...) but i definitely bottom out less on these switches, and the tactile bump is more pronounced. and i really like the classic olivetti color scheme :shobon:

edit: omg all i have to do is press fn+enter and my rshift/win/prop/ctrl group becomes arrow keys. savage

plus for whatever reason alps dolch sets are hella cheap compared to mx ones

after using clears after blues I can definitely say there is something to be said for a quieter board. mate someone once told me that MDMA felt better than heroin but at least with heroin you could function in the real world

cmstorm quickfire is best bang for your buck imo. have had mine for 5 years and it's still working good as new. sometimes it goes on sale and is $50 instead of $80

loving topre tbh but i do miss the blues sometimes.

i really want to try one of these but i use the f-keys all the time, so i should probably stick to regular tenkeyless.

it's really easy to hit fn+# on my pok3r. like unless you use the f-key row as home row, you'll probably never notice them missing

arrow keys are awkward (though automatic at this point), but i don't use them much so it doesn't matter to me
