Throw it in a padded envelope and mail it first class parcel it will cost half as much and arrive around the same time.

First-Class Mail International in a padded envelope shouldn't be more than $10-15 I'd think.

edit: Checking the website, USPS has jacked their prices. They used to have a flat rate envelope that was $12 anywhere in the world. Now all their flat rate stuff starts at like $30~.

edit 2: Anyway I have a buddy coming over here in a month so I could give you his address in the states and you could mail it to him.

So I'm trying to make a Necron deck, but I'm having some difficulty figuring out the best out of faction cards for it. Anyone want to drop some insights? I was thinking of using the dude who gets cards in/out of the discard pile and using it with free units, like Carnivore Pack, Kroot Hunter, Mystic Warden, etc, but I have no idea how it would actually play out.

My Anrakyr deck currently plays out of faction command and support destruction (which Necrons are weak at), leaving most of the core units as Necrons - or stolen units from the enemy discard pile!

So thanks to the CSI sale I've almost completed my collection (not counting anything Nightmare) and I'm wondering how I should be approaching the game. Just build the decks that look fun and play the quests in order? Play progression style and use the cards that were available for each cycle? Also, any recommendations for decks that are pretty generalist and can handle most quests solo? I will be playing a lot of 2 player with my wife (we already played through the core before I bought a bunch more and she loves it) but I also want to tackle stuff on my own without playing 2 handed.

Does your wife like deck-building or not? If she does, you could save the in-order playthrough with restricted card availability for when you play together, and do the fun/theme/tuned decks for solo play. Otherwise, swap it around.

For a generalist deck go with a basic Silvan trait deck. Celeborn plus Galadriel plus anyone you think looks fun.

Or Outlands. You probably have the cards for it. I don't know how it works but a lot of people complain about how good it is.

It sucks in the first few turns but if your allies can pull threats and you can get setup, you can completely take over.

Maybe it's supposed to be played two-handed? Or he's just there for Tactics access?

With a Rivendell Blade and multiple attacks per turn he's not as useless as Elrohir without Elladan would be.

Celeborn & Galadriel is the important combo, I don't think the third hero matters much.

They're really great for teaching the game, since people aren't used to having multiple decks and two kinds of graveyards. I like the tourney art, not as big on the Dany one.

I have the tourney one and I like it alright. It looks better in person since the colors aren't quite so bright. I'm looking forward to replacing it when I actually win something, though.

Once I pick up the last couple things I need for the Wrath of the Righteous ACG I need to focus down and work on completing my collection. I've got the first two cycles plus the first two big boxes

You know what's great about working at a comic shop? I basically get poo poo at cost. It's great. Saves me a bunch of money on LotR stuff

Edit has anyone used the broken token organizers to sort this poo poo out? I'm trying to decide between that and just throwing it all in a monster box with LOTR scrawled on it in sharpie

I just got the broken token for lotr. It's nice, I can split up heroes, spheres and adventures in the core box. I like the unsleeved as it has 3 full rows, the sleeved has 2 full and a middle row for a bit holder. The middle row of the sleeved is to narrow to actually fit cards, so you end up with 1/3 less storage.

I got the wooden box from Hobby Lobby and Broken Token organizer for it. Total cost was $45. It hold all player cards sleeved, but I had to make dividers for the encounter cards and store them in the the core box. I might unsleeve everything and store them in the case though, because it looks nice and would be good to have everything in one spot. Here's the specs:

CARD CAPACITY (W/ STOCK DIVIDERS)
Unsleeved 5133
.1mm "Premium" Sleeved 2123
.04mm Sleeved 3835

I'm pretty sure everyone knows it by now, but Dwarf decks are basically cheating. Clowned Conflict at the Carrock pretty hard with Dain, Oin and Thorin. I wasn't sure whether the trolls go back into the discard pile or they are removed from game, but I didn't need to reset the Encounter deck anyway.

In any case, and talking about storage porn, here's my setup:

That's a couple of cores, the first two cycles and the player cards for the Hobbit Saga. I have the third cycle in the mail, so I'm quickly running out of space (and money :homebrew:).

Speaking of play testers, with Netrunner lately it feels like FFG hasn't even used any in a while. The game feels like an uneven mess right now, but I guess that is the fate of any LLG after 3+ years.

My bet for LotR going forward is that it has another year. The saga stuff is almost to the end, it'll give them time to gauge the success of the hypothetical Arkham Horror game, and it'll wrap up just in time to make room for L5R

Is Arkham Horror even a confirmed LCG or is it just another small box game like Warhammer Quest the Adventure Card Game?

Also, is Escape from Dol Guldur even remotely soloable? Been trying for a while now single deck and an early caught in a web is pretty much insta-lose.

It can be done solo but depends on luck even more than normal and isn't fun.

Some of the nightmare decks for the early quests make the original quests more interesting. From what I remember anyway, I think Tales from the Cards had a nightmare buying guide where he mentioned that. I haven't tried any of them yet though.

I'm logging all of my plays through each quest and marking down my favorites so I can revisit them later and look into their nightmare decks down the road. The decks are pretty cheap so why not.

Also, I'm working on having a 4 deck fellowship that we can pick up and play through some quests on game nights, but also work for 2 player with my wife and solo 2-hand. This is what I've come up with:

Tri-sphere Dwarves - standard
Tri-sphere Hobbits - low threat/avoidance/shenanigans
Mono-tactics - Rohan heavy
Lore Leadership Silvan - ally bouncing shenanigans

Are there any other archetypes that would work well with these? The tactics deck if for players that just want to do combat stuff, the Hobbits have a support-ish role, and the Silvan/Dwarves are very all arounders.
