If Newt is really out of the running, I think Herman Cain would also be an acceptable choice. Trump said his VP would have political experience, but Trump says a lot of things that he later contradicts and pretends he never said.

I'm just spit balling here by thinking up people like Trump or are supermodels or has-beens. Ted Nugent's too loving crazy, even for Trump. Pat Sajak would work because he's low-profile but is as right-wing as they come. Gene Simmons, if it weren't for the fact that he was born in Israel, would also be a good VP pick because he's like a mini Trump because he's so sleazy. A supermodel that's affiliated with the GOP like Cindy Crawford would be a VP pick that Trump would want to sleep with.

Let's be genuine here: What are the odds of Vince McMahon (not word filter) being picked here? Because I want that timeline to be true, and it would almost be worth it for all the horrors of a Trump Presidency if it concluded with Vince McMahon saving America by making Trump wrestle a guy. The Trump bump.

Real talk I think Trump is going to either pick some bootlicking senator or like a general/high-ranking officer or something. I mean the closest analogy we have to Trump, in my opinion, is Ross Perot and that dude picked an admiral in 92 and an economist in 96. Obviously Trump taking over the GOP is different than Perot's indy run, but I imagine Trump has very little respect for people in government (because they don't have real jobs) and would want to cement his outsider status.

It's just weird because we haven't seen a huge shift in our lifetimes but the GOP could very easily end up a rump party if they don't figure something out. The alliance they cobbled together is disintegrating rapidly, their core demographic is dying in droves (or worse, shacking up with a minority and making non-white babies) they are losing on core issue after core issue, and they're still talking about how Cruz is gonna run in 2020.
