Son of Whyachi/Ghost Raptor, on the other hand, wasn't that great and basically only got shown in full because of name recognition.

Ghost Raptor didn't deserve a wildcard at all, but I'm guessing it was in working condition which is probably the major deciding factor in wildcard picks.

I feel like with so many quick KOs in the first round, any bot that goes to time and loses should get a wild card spot. I feel like the new series, the judges or producers are way more into flashy stuff than they are into things like good driving. Blacksmith is flashy, but ineffective and got destroyed. Disc O'Inferno is driven by a two time champion and the all time greatest driver in the sport, it had a competitive match that went to time, lost a split decision, but eh, it doesn't shoot flames.

I don't know about you, but I thought the SoW / Ghost Raptor fight owned fuckin' bones. Then again, i'm a giant SoW fanboy and seeing it gently caress up Ghost Raptor made me laugh my rear end off  Megatento getting a wildcard is pretty great, if only because I genuinely want to see how badly the ladybug gets wrecked by some of the drums and spinners. But yeah, I'm with you guys, Disco Inferno really should have gotten a wildcard over Blacksmith.

They have the bracket up at http://www.battlebots.com/bracket-s2/ They also have the days the fights are happening. 4 fights on the 7th, 4 fights on the 14th, and 8 fights on the 21st. Also for those upset about Blacksmith getting in, they put it up against Minotaur next week, I can make a good guess which bot will win that one.
