Tyrannosaurs in P-51 Volkswagens!

Basic Chunnel posted:

I'm guessing that's it - I went straight for Vault Dweller to skip the extended intro and it probably gave me that "+5% XP from all sources" thing. Thing is, up until a certain point I was getting the notifications - it was only about halfway into building my Sanctuary fortress did I notice that placing stuff was no longer showing XP gains. I assumed I'd hit some sort of soft cap but then nothing was showing the gains.

I looked at the perk he uses to add xp for that class and it seems fine, it's identical to vanilla perks that give an xp boost, and I don't think it's possible for a perk to turn off notifications anyway. Nothing in his mod looks like it would touch that actually. And when I started a new game with PP loaded it displayed xp gain and leveling up as normal, at least for the first couple levels. Don't know why it would quit after that. The only other thing I can think of now is experimenting with your load order.

Are you using any UI mods? I know DEF_UI will let you turn off pieces individually, maybe all you are missing is the piece of the ui that alerts you to the level up or quest.

if Skyrim is any indication Japan produces plenty of waifu mods, it's just that a lot of japanese mods actually aren't hosted on the Nexus.

This is a simple mod that only changes a few game settings entries. Don't worry, I fixed my problem. I re-installed the mod that was causing the problem BEFORE, changed a few values in xEdit, and I was so early that I restarted anyway to make sure that it fixed it and it did.

Well obviously you need a spotter to go with you to call out targets. You can't be noscoping with a sniper rifle. Then out of combat you need lowered weapons.

Def UI is on the list but disabled (opening the pipboy when it was enabled caused CTD). I have full dialogue display, but I'm not sure why it would affect this.

My favorite part is how he sets NPCs as unkillable for no reason and then has to warn people him doing that makes the game unwinnable if you pick a different faction.

There it is again. I kill the bloatflies in Sanctuary Hills, I'm fine. Each take one shot from my sniper rifle to kill. I save, go down the hill, encounter some radroaches inside one of the other houses, they take loving SEVEN SHOTS EACH to kill. How is that in any way acceptable? There's something funky going on in my game. It has to be War of the Commonwealth, which I have set to the lowest-difficulty preset for now. I just don't know why the gently caress I'm getting goddamn radroaches with 300 health or whatever.

Doesn't War of the Commonwealth throw much higher mobs at you right out of the vault? Might want to try disabling that and see.

It does, but not in Sanctuary Hills. The Encounter Zones settings are loving absurd and all, and you'll see level 10-30s in Concord, but Sanctuary Hills itself should be fine. MAYBE something's funky with Survival Options, since it has an option to change the combat damage mults. I will see if that's the problem.

Per the author, you need to go to a closed cell, save, uninstall, load and save again.
Not sure how starting a new game factors into this process.
When I got rid of WoTC, because it is so glitchy, there were residual effects for a bit.

Sweet, thinking to start a new stealthy run with it. Agility stats and headshots all the way. Guessing Weapon Balance Overhaul by The Iron Rose conflicts with that mod though which sucks.

The developer of Brigador is a secret chud, don't give him money
So I like the raider and mutant overhauls but one thing bugs me, nightkin. They're just kind of annoying and don't seem to come in any even mildly threatening variants since they tend to shout and go down with one shot as soon as they make it obvious they're near by.

I also grabbed the minutemen overhaul and it's pretty great seeing minutemen patrols just roaming around loving up the wasteland.

Anyway, are there any mods for better robot making? I've just started messing around with it, and had a lot of fun with the automaton DLC, but the menus are kind of annoying and the glow on the robots makes picking out smaller parts like the heads really kind of lovely. Also having to drop everything to invest a ton of points into poo poo like blacksmithing is no fun.

There are mods to give you access to the robot making bench immediately, if your problem is the level requirement. Also trivial to load the DLC up in xEdit and remove the requirement yourself.

Also made the mistake of going "high" on the increased spawns. Gonna drop that down to medium because 200 wild mongrels was a bit more than my ammo could take.
