slightly amused
Don't get me wrong, its still a good amount of money, but I really don't think we should run games just because its rabid fanbase will dump in some extra cash. Games should be run because they are entertaining, for whatever reason. Focus should be on the event actually be enjoyable rather than fishing for donations. Cause that's what makes people watch it, which in turn leads to more donations in the future.

This made me look up what MSF brings in. And you're not wrong wrt overall revenue, but SGDQ seems to make up about 1/3 of MSFs fundraising revenue.

Which is pretty freaking sweet.

from here: http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3628

I have to wonder if the SGDQ collection is actually under the donations. Not that being .3% of the total donations to one of the world's largest charities isn't impressive.

Yes.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Any%

+ It's a Zelda run, so weird glitches and skips are the name of the game.
+ Seriously, there's a ton of unintended skips. The entire dark world is just :stare: Zelda!
+ An excellent run, virtually no mistakes.
- Couch commentary is solid, if bland. Couch and runner end up being a little hard to hear.
- Looots of slow overworld travel between interesting dungeons.
- A large amount of downtime without commentary

Additional note:
- One of those rare games where english text is fastest.

Run rating: 4.0 first half, 6.0 second half.
Pass or skip first half, unless you love Zelda or you want to see this game.

It's the biggest "fundraising" event of the year. I'm too lazy to look at the chart but MSF gets like 3 million from "fundraising" and over 400 million from "donations". lol.

Donations, contributions, and Grants.

I'm sure a lot of that 400mil comes from very rich people and foundations donating hundreds of thousands to a mil+ a shot.
