So, I broke one of my crowns a week or so back, and I have to have it replaced this week. I'm not happy about any of this. I have a two hour appointment this coming Thursday to have the old crown cut off and the cement ground off, then a horrible gagging X-ray followed by an impression and a temporary crown IF the X-ray doesn't indicate that I need a root canal. I know it's just life, but I thought I'd trawl for sympathy. Oh, and it's a $1500 procedure at a time when I really don't need another bill. I'll survive and everything, but dammit!

Vanity schmanity. Aesthetic crowns are usually called 'caps.' I'm talking about a structural crown on my next-to-last molar on the bottom. It was necessary because my tooth broke. Now pity me!
