There's over a hundred hours of air time to fill, and running the same familiar games twice a year would be boring. Also I enjoy finding hidden gems or just larger titles I passed on that actually look cool when run.

Braid is a game with a great gimmick with the time rewinding but also has bad platforming, slow boring movement and an ugly art style. Braid is one of those games I just never got the hype for beyond the time rewind thing.

I would have never have heard of this Momodora series were it not for this stream and I feel like my life has been bettered for it. Primetime Indie Game Night is a good thing.

The hype was mainly aping Super Mario and then being subversive with its plot and some of its puzzles. Fez takes the cake on extreme puzzle subversion.

I also think the platforming itself is serviceable. But really, it's more that it predated the whole "retro" thing and the indie game boom while having a pretty clever puzzle mechanic. Like, it was something...fresh? Nowadays we have a thousand different options.

This is a good run. I hope Jonny Blow is taking note. I like my platforms nice and puzzley, so I enjoyed playing this long ago. I had no awareness of its deep lore when I was done.

I remember I had a rapid fire pad as a kid. Setting rapid fire on weapon switch with two Crush guns could kill anything in seconds.

I got Contra III for Christmas one year and we had to go to a relative's for New Years and I was having trouble beating the game. So I got to the helicopter fight and put a chair on the fire button and stood in the corner and came back to 99 lives. The best. IT'S NOT KNITTING
