His orbs remained on target even out of LOS. So you would have a Genji with +50 shields getting healed constantly

Yeah the one in the beta where you switched to a random hero after every death was great, made me try new heroes I wasn't sure about and no one was taking it too seriously. I wish they'd just have it as that permanently.

I am late to the whole support-healer chat but I definitely hope they change the "no support" tip to "no healer" and don't let future supports be defied by their healing. That's one mistake they made with Heroes of the Storm. The most recent addition to that game is Medivh and two years ago he would be classified as a support, just like Tassadar. He's actually considered a specialist, simply because he doesn't have heals. The advantage Overwatch has that teams have six players and you are not stuck with a character for the entire match. There's way more room to run two supports and it would be a shame if it's all healbots (even if that's ridiculously effective).

I just wish they did some actual interesting brawls instead of "limited heroes, tweaked ult rates". Wouldn't be surprised if the engine doesn't actually support something like, for example, low gravity, though

I need to stop being the rear end in a top hat who berates people verbally for not cooperating. I did this in Quick Play last night when the group didn't seem to be coordinating at all. I've already been spoiled by competitive mode where people are more habitually cooperative and communicative. Yes, competitive mode does currently have problems, but let's be thankful that people are quite serious about it. It makes for some really intense games. It really does make me sad when I rage at people. Sometimes I see Twitch streams of handicapped people playing videogames. What if I raged at such a person? It just depresses me. In conclusion, I love Overwatch, the greatest game of all time.

PS4 Competitive breakdown when solo queuing: - 25% of games you have 3 or 4 people working together with mics and it is glorious. My most memorable match was going down 0-4 on Watchpoint Gibraltar then working with 3 other guys to come up with a good comp to try and force sudden death on offense. I volunteered to go Mercy (my first full match ever playing her) and we managed to force sudden death. The coin flip threw us on defense and we stopped the offense about 2 meters from delivering the payload. The final firefight was the most fun I've ever had playing the game. I called out every time I switched healing guys, they worked hard to keep Reaper off me, we coordinated our ults...It was so much fun. - 25% of games have 1 other person on the mic that is usually a 13 year old kid. The 13 year old kid is either cool and willing to work with you, or plays Genji the entire match. - 25% of the games have 1 other person on the mic who calls everyone on the team a pussy or human being, runs in by themselves as Soldier 76 and complains that "no one is helping" after they immediately die. - 25% of the games are completely silent but I stay on the mic anyways to call out the location of enemies, turrets, my ult status, etc. Sometimes it seems like people are listening and other times we have 2 Reapers, 1 Mei, a Widowmaker, Symmetra and whatever I end up playing on offense. At this point I usually throw it into cruise control and experiment with different characters. I wish there was some way to have more games that fit into that first 25% category. Right now I am filling out my friend's list with dudes who were fun to play with in the hopes that eventually I'll be able to log in and queue up with at least 1 other person who I can count on to coordinate.

Not gonna lie, I generally type some form of "SUUUU-PERR MAAAAN" into the chat when I charge a Self-Destructing MEKA out of the way. Either that or "I think this is yours" if I can get the D.Va who used it in the process.

my problem with symmetra is that as fun as she is the other team has a really easy time ruining your day. So many games it feels like there will be at least one tracer with no goal in mind other than finding and destroying my teleporter as soon as it's placed. My unthought out armchair game designer suggestion is to make her teleporter a normal ability but disabled and every time she fills her ultimate meter it gets more charges

Most everyone marches from one end to the other in dead silence. The games really feel no different than quick match did before ranked opened up.

They're also great for protecting against High Noons and Junkrat tires. It's always fun to just run up to a McCree, take his shot on the chin, and then burn him down with a full charge.

When you get into the game do you get on your mic and ask who all has a mic? That usually helps get people out of their shell. As soon as I join I usually throw out something like, "hey guys. Anyone else on a mic? Let me know and we can try to coordinate and beat these guys." People seem a little more eager to get on their mic if you encourage them a bit

Zarya is the best glue if you have a second tank or a few frontline attackers. Bubbles for everyone. If your team is Hanzo/Genji/Tracer/Reaper then I wouldn't even bother. 'All flanking' teams are nothing but feelbads and I blame Blizz for making all the edgy/cool characters be the least team-friendly.

Bonus if they can change maps and game states on the fly. JUMP its a wide open field JUMP its the Nepal indoor map JUMP its a payload escort in overtime inches from the goal. They're Coming, all Bastion, one life only, hold a point as long as you can. In the distance you hear FIRE IN THE HOLE and the sounds of the tire. Then again. And again. Faster and faster as the tires come from every direction. Alternate option: same thing but infinite charging Reinhardts. Halls of Reflection, your group has to work together to get through a shifting maze of ice walls and blizzards as behind you an invulnerable Mei slowly stalks toward her prey. They need to make tools so people can create their own, would be interesting to see what comes of it like the DOTA genre from wc3.

People vastly overrate the value of healers and supports in low level games. Supports facilitate more aggressive, higher level play. If you're teammates aren't capable of that play, select something else. I don't think they're critical for winning even into the 50s. If you like picking heroes that help the team, pick tanks. A team comp is still great with 3-4 tanks, and they help out the team still. Zarya has the bubble, Rein shields others, Roadhog can heal himself and is support independent.

# ? Jul 6, 2016 17:06 |

pretty sure at that rating people aren't capable of making good decisions like run away from reaper into their team so just pick reaper and think of it as practice because reaper is good at all levels.
