I've heard about the final boss trick but never seen it in action. Apparently he's manipulating the boss to go flying out of bounds, where he hits an invisible wall and his health bar instantly drains to zero

Cool. I didn't catch that detail during the run and I love knowing about this stuff.

I was waiting for that guy to say "save the animals". I missed what percentage goes to MSF or all of it?

Also I think they wanted to forego the glitch because the MSF guy was there.

I'm really glad that *GDQ ended up teaming up with MSF, as I have absolutely zero qualms about donating to them. They're legitimately the best medical charity out there.

My best friend unironically really enjoyed Sonic 06 as a game you play normally, not breaking it intentionally or anything. I don't think he's just loving with me by saying so either. Boggles the mind.

All the money for the event goes to MSF. He was saying that within MSF they put 82% of all money donated into field operations rather than administrative or fundraising costs, which is a big issue with charities sometimes.

Let me clarify a bit, the run is good, the game is as bad as ever, the runner even discovered a new glitch that he hadn't seen before.

I only caught the end of it and I feel I must go back and watch the rest. Especially since the game apparently managed to break itself in a new way yet again! :toot:

Short of Super Metroid, the handheld metroid games are my absolute favorite.

Even Metroid 2. Metroid 2 is awesome.

I'm going to guess it's the GC with the homebrew GBA interface and GB player.

In general the capture quality is a lot better this year.

Random question: do they sell daily passes to go watch live? I tried to find out a couple months ago but all I ended up with were the weekly passes and I didn't want to spend $60 to stop in for a couple hours after work or something. And judging by what I've seen on stream there's plenty of room for more people in their seating area...
