Bernie booed by house dems for suggesting the party should have goals beyond simply beating Trump (and in fact having those higher goals would energize more voters and help win elections)

I really don't get it. The only way Clinton will lose to Trump is if the dems actively encourage people not to vote.

it's more that when talking about his own campaign he said it was above the 'movement' more than elections when the question was 'hey the election between you and Clinton is over, you should endorse her already'.

k then my questions are

what does Clinton gain from a Sanders endorsement (right this minute)?

what does the "movement" gain from Sanders endorsing Clinton (right this minute)?

Maybe because by saving the endorsement for the convention, he was able to get something like this out of her? http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/07/us/politics/hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders-education.html?_r=0

I'd argue that despite their anger, Bernie has done a lot to help the democratic party. Like it or not, he's the current face of a sizeable segment of the party. I (personally) believe the party stands to gain quite a bit by earning an endorsement rather than repeatedly demanding one.

So does Bernie endorsing Clinton matter or not?

Still haven't gotten a straight answer on that.

"Alright, I guess the plebs making under 80k can all have free health care" - Hillary's brain

That's the one I'm hoping for. I'm still kind of shocked she went along with the college thing.

And then the rich get to cry "b-b-but where's our handout?"

I lost to you once, monster. I shall not lose again! Die now, that our future can live!
I still think the Clintonland logic on a Bernie endorsement is amazing: "Senator Sanders, you need to maximize the leverage you might have by giving it all away immediately."

Small wonder why the ACA and the 1st debt ceiling crisis turned out the way they did, considering the geniuses coming up with negotiation strategies.

Don't worry, if implemented, you can bet that there won't be any sensible scaling back from "free" as income rises. Families will have to make a tough choice between staying under the prescribed income limit or be forced to pay thousands for healthcare because they earn hundreds more.

That remains to be seen. Hillary likes to flip-flop on issues progressives hold dear. With any luck the progressives that get into the Senate will fight for the things Bernie's platform brought up.
