Going over the list, the first thing that screamed out at me that I wanted to watch was the Mega Man block. A chunk of scrolling until I hit Bioshock, a bunch of scrolling until SS1 and Deus Ex. Some scrolling till the Elder Scrolls games. Outside of Tasbot, the only other thing I'm interested in is Diablo 2. Everything else just had no interest for me.

There were a lot of gems just from the people playing the game rather than the games themselves.

Forest Temple is so spooky

It's a giant abandoned mansion filled with ghosts and the entire place screams "something really bad happened here"

Everyone whines about the oot water temple but to be honest forest was my least favorite, too spooky and it's really easy to get stuck going in circles to figure out where you need to go next

Can't wait to see someone do it in a quarter of the time it took me.

I feel like that's a solid explanation but then they also used stuff like the owl skip and spamming pause to advance frames on how fast a bomb explodes without advancing frames on link moving, both of which seem to be fairly flagrant exploits of bugs rather than using game mechanics in a way the devs didnt intend.

I think the real line is drawn more in comparison to a full glitch run.

Their explanation is pretty fair but it seems to actively ignore some of the stuff they've done which the people on the couch have mentioned were considered banned glitches in the past.

The list of allowable/banned techniques seems fairly arbitrary, but I am nevertheless enjoying this run. There's plenty of cool and interesting things in it, and a lot of it requires tricky execution. Pretty entertaining stuff.

Yeah for the most part I've just sort of accepted it as "stuff that isn't used or is circumvented in a full glitch run" and made peace with it.

You see the dev's despite designing this entire dungeon around needing the zora suit and iron boots making you fall straight down, intentially programmed in swapping breath by switching boots and letting you swim by z targetting as you equipped the irons.

The thing that honestly annoys me is that they're just not open about it being a run with glitches that you wouldn't normally need in a glitched run.

swimming while z targeting is also something that can easily be figured out by a casual player willing to experiment

like make no mistake this run has been skirting the edge of what a "glitch" is quite a bit but these aint it

I can buy the whole "using mechanics the developers intentionally created in an unintended way" defintiion for allowing bomb boosting in the air but uh yeah that stuff you just mentioned does not fit that at all how can you possibly say that any of that's not a glitch
