They were changed from glitches to not glitches for largely arbitrary reasons that boiled down to making glitchless runs faster without being on the same level as full glitch runs.

I said it before but I was really looking forward to the RE2 run (since it is in my top 5 for most favourite games) and I couldn't get past 10 minutes because of all the stupid "let'sa go" poo poo
