BattleMaster posted:me about 80% of my attempts to load this page I had this in some other threads a few weeks back. I noticed it only happened when extremely high resolution images were posted. I fixed it by toggling the GPU/hardware acceleration in Chrome's settings.

First, I swear to heavens I'm not abducting pets to look like a good guy. I live on a corner lot near a fairly major road (as major as they get in a rural area, anyhow), so it's only natural cats and dogs will come down the way and swing by my house. Last time I found Harry, an adorable Sphynx cat, who was just nice as the dickens, and got him matched up with his people. Last night, a lovely gal came up on my patio, couldn't have been a year old (one floppy ear, enough energy to power Las Vegas), and she was a sweet thing, if excitable. Super car trained, due to her trying to get in the front seat of every car with its door open, responsive to sit/lay down/stay commands even though I wasn't her owner. All around great dog.  Turns out her name is Sadie. We kept her overnight with food and water; she significantly wanted to meet our cats but they rather preferred to keep their distance and I respect that. A walk of the neighborhood turned up no positive leads, but I did get to chat Pokemon Go with folks aged between 14 and 55, which was neat. When the shelter opened up I drove her in; turns out she wasn't chipped, but as I was discussing homing options with them I hear "Oh my god, Sadie!" from behind me - the owners came in the shelter just behind me and recognized her right off. I've never seen a lost dog behave so well. She never barked once in twelve hours, took water and food without making a mess, and agreed to bed down without any fuss come night so we could all sleep. All dogs deserve a happy ending, yeah, but she gosh darn earned hers.
