Man, these kids are pretty clever. The missed throw and then cut to the swish got a good chuckle out of me, but the rolling the ball on the ground like Tom Haverford's bowling + swish cracked me up.

Mickey sucks, has always sucked, and his cartoons were always the worst so I don't blame Minney. Plus Goofy is awesome, his cartoons were always the best, and he deserves all the mouse tail he can pull. Go get you some Goof! This bro's got your back.

Maybe because I never watched Mickey cartoons but what the hell is his personality like? Does he have one? I feel like Bugs Bunny has such a stong character in contrast; I don't think I could name a single Mickey trait beyond "happy".

Mickey is intelligent and kind (as opposed to the boorish, selfish Donald), but he's had a rather easy life and doesn't always recognize his own privilege. He's a bit of a freelance detective and often helps the police with their investigations. Deffo the most boring Disney standard character though.

Yeah very early Mickey was a more standard rogue/troublemaker gets in and out of trouble. Also a lot of quick-witted hero versus boorish villain (Pete). As the Disney cast grew and the characters developed he mellowed out way more, still smart, but just generally a nice and helpful character who always wants to do the right thing. So a lot of later Mickey cartoons are about bad things happening to him and him figuring his way out, unlike Donald Duck stories that are more about him selfishly creating/exacerbating his own problems and slowly being overwhelmed by them, or Goofy stories about him making problems and just generally being hilariously incompetent. I haven't seen every disney cartoon in the world obviously, and I sure haven't kept up with them since I was a kid, but that's how I remember it being at any rate.

Someone on FB mentioned they'd vote for Donald Duck before Donald Trump and didn't reply when I pointed out that Duck and Trump were pretty close in personality for all the reasons mentioned above. The name Donald is a curse, I guess.

I've got a pocket full of cheese🧀, and a garden full of trees🌴.

I always took Mickey to be the nicest of nice, the goodest of the good, bland milquetoast nice boy. The kind your grandmother would be happy to meet.

Minnie is with him because he is safe. Also because she is as bland as he is.
