I had this problem. I solved it by living in Illinois. Now there's no places worth going to and everyone that has the means to leave wants to leave this state as soon as possible and so in a few years I likely won't have to worry about hanging out with friends.

There is quite a popular nude beach in town that I go to every now and again. It was quite the local spot until it became a tourist attraction and now bus loads of tourists come by and gawk. It is kind of sad.

Focus on good things and your own hopes and dreams.

How about that Wicked and Divine? Is that going to end soon? I don't want it to end, but I don't want it to outlive itself, and things seem to be coming to a head.

Wikipedia says 30 to 60 issues...

I imagine the 30 number is if it were a modest success.

If it weren't for Gillen being the type of writer he is, I would expect it to last Walking Dead numbers. As is, I imagine that it could indeed be 60, not including guest issues and one offs like the 1831 issue.

I'm not sure of the exact number but Gillen has been clear about it having a finite and already determined end.

I think he said we're about at the halfway mark--Persephone In Hell being the figurative (though not exact) midpoint (or "the abyss at the center of things"). And given how he's talked about WicDiv as formalist, the current arc being called "Rising Action" is a pretty heavy indicator of where we are in the story.

Frank Cho Walks Off of Wonder Woman, Citing “Censorship” and “Political Agendas”

All the problem lies with Greg Rucka.

EVERYONE loves my Wonder Woman covers and wants me to stay. Greg Rucka is the ONLY one who has any problem with covers. Greg Rucka has been trying to alter and censor my artwork since day one.

Greg Rucka thought my Wonder Woman #3 cover was vulgar and showed too much skin, and has been spearheading censorship, which is baffling since my Wonder Woman image is on model and shows the same amount of skin as the interior art, and it’s a VARIANT COVER and he should have no editorial control over it. (But he does. WTF?!!!)

I tried to play nice, not rock the boat and do my best on the covers, but Greg’s weird political agenda against me and my art has made that job impossible. Wonder Woman was the ONLY reason I came over to DC Comics.

If Cho could keep his id under control he'd be tolerable and a fine artist for a lot of stuff. I hope he's just being a drama queen to get more commission work.

Having said that, if DC cropped his work without telling him or giving him a chance to pull it, that's not cool either.

Those variant were good but unless Rucka comes out and basically says "yeah I lead a conspiracy against Cho, it was me", knowing what I know about Cho it's probably his fault he couldn't work with DC.

He is but honestly it's not that great. This week's issue felt better than the previous ones and it was just basically just a retelling of her origin.

That's annoying, the best part about his last time on the book was that it felt like someone was really telling a new Wonder Woman story.

Yeah, my opinion could radically change with the next present day issue that's about Wonder Woman uncovering some lies she's been told, but so far that plotline just hasn't hooked me. The other plotline that's retelling her origin I don't think changed anything other than confirming she's bisexual in the main DC cannon as well.

(if you didn't hear, the way Wonder Woman works is each issue focuses on an alternating story line, one in present day about WW uncovering some lies, the other is the flashback issues)
