I don't really get it because in my experience you don't actually have to go inside a pokestop to get the rewards, you can be across the street or even a block away. The only pokestops I've seen people actually hang around for a long period of time at are ones that put a lure down. Regular ones you just walk by, spin the circle and move on without even looking up at it.

It doesn't mean 100% of all people visiting the pokestop will give you business, but wandering to a pokestop that also sells snacks will tempt a few.
