Plus the concept lends itself so strongly to AR and MMO gameplay that it's been a joke since the motherfucking Everquest days at the latest that the Pokemon MMO was always Nintendo's "in case of Emergency: Break Glass" move to guarantee mega profits to keep them solvent. That was a running joke in gaming communities here on SA back then. A game like Pokemon Go has been a long time coming and I regret not knowing about its development or I would have shoved a fuckton of money into Nintendo stock.
