Dang, I've done this same exact thing but with a 5½"blade. Made for a decent flush saw. Also, giant grinding or cutting wheels are pretty normal sight on little grinders. That's how you get the extra depth. The downside is that you need to stock up on grinders

"walla" started in lovely Lifehacks (some lovely FB life hack ended with "Walla! There it is." or something along those lines). It breaks out to to other threads every now and then.

Walla, there's your explanation.

All I could find for Sinol is that it's a nasal spray. I'm guessing I didn't find the right thing?

Is there any "standard" for how tall trucks are? If there is it would seem like a good idea to put bridges above that. Also gently caress being a driver. I have never thought about how tall my vehicle is and one brain fart will soooooo gently caress you.

There’s a standard for clearance on Interstate Highways—14 feet in urban areas, 16 feet elsewhere—so trucks are generally designed to be slightly shorter than that.

Snowglobe of Doom

sucks to be right
Plus there's a whole bunch of bridges that were built 50 years ago or even longer that are still in daily use but are non-standard heights and can't be adjusted for various reasons.

Edit: America has a sliiiiiight problem fixing their infrastructure issues at the moment, we can probably file the Low Bridge Problem under that

Further to this. Standard US semi truck height is 13'6" from the ground to the top. Or 102" high from the deck of a flatbed trailer. Over 13'6" you start needing permits/escorts depending on which states you're travelling through.

Of course you get low bridges or bridges where the road was paved underneath raising the road height so the bridge is no longer 14' off the ground. Etc.

102" wide is legal width of a load also in the US (in general, some states can have different/wider rules) FYI.

I’m going to take a guess here that it’s not a coincidence that 102″ is also the dimension of a standard shipping container.

Of course it's not a coincidence. The problem is that a lot of roads and bridges were built prior to that standard being established and it's too expensive or difficult to redesign and rebuild them to fit.
