We get Mynah birds here and the little bastards are really good at learning to mimic weird noises. I don't know if they do it for mating rituals or what, but it's really weird to be woken up by a bird trying its hardest to imitate an industrial engine outside your window.

Try Tuis. I knew one that would constantly mimic a squeaky wheelbarrow wheel and lead to fights with the neighbours.

There's a kind of bird that sounds exactly like a woman begging for her life, so if you hear it, please don't go outside. Please stay where you are. Whatever you do, don't follow that sound.

The US Military could increase enlistment 100 fold if they advertised that recruits got free trips overseas where they could catch all sort of foreign and exotic Pokemon. Edit: Bloody Hedgehog has a new favorite as of 12:42 on Jul 18, 2016 |

I live in Florida near a high school. Every fall, the mockingbirds start learning the marching band's tunes.

I work with peacocks and they definitely like to interrupt meetings. There's also a merlin who's nesting in my neighbours yard and that thing shrieks all hours of the day. Cute though.
