Actually it's the best route ever because the flamme rouge is right outside my house today.

It's at least better than 2012 and the other Sky dominant races because Froome has been sort of interesting for once even if it is a pretty bad Grand Tour by every other metric. The route would have seemed a lot better had the GC contenders been stronger or Sky been weaker.

If you ignore the GC, I'd say the majority of stages have had some pretty cool things going on.

Cav crushing everyone in the sprints has been very entertaining.

If Cancellara somehow wins this stage, then this tour is completely saved. But either way, the GC aside it's generally been good stages. A lot of good breakaways and some cool sprints by Cav.

Gonna be fun seeing what happens if there's a bunch sprint at those tramlines in Bern. Mate of mine dislocated his shoulder last week by riding into the ones in Geneva

greazeball posted:The French apparently recommended just pouring asphalt into the tracks I've seen this done before on disused railroad crossings in france. Works surprisingly well and I wouldn't imagine it's too hard to dig out the asphalt after. This, however, looks like somone's going on their arse if there's a bunch sprint, which is what BMC looks to be gearing up for.

Nah, it's been sunny and dry here, I think the finish will be fine. It cost about a tenth of what the asphalt does and the tram should be running again on Thursday.

Like the commentators have been saying, the last 3-4 km are twisty and turny with sharp narrow corners and a couple hills so it seems like it will be really difficult to get any kind of leadout train going in the runup so a group sprint at the end is pretty unlikely.

Did Tinkov say that after Sagan had won one or two? e: I kinda wish they would highlight the front of the finish line in the replays.
