My proudest Overwatch moment was being shoved into a game vs. Moonmoon on Anubis A, steamrolling over his team on Roadhog in like 3:50 or something ridiculous, and getting PotG.

Play Zarya passive-aggressively; try to taunt people into shooting your shield and making you stronk. Generally it's better to pop your bubble after people start shooting and not before, so I feel like her voiceovers tend to mislead people a bit.

Treat her shields (as in half your HP bar, not her shift and E abilities) as your only real HP pool and be sure to have an escape route ready for when they get low. Her ability to regen that much of her bar that quickly is key to her durability and should be recognized accordingly. Basically play conservatively and don't expect heals from anyone. Your RMB attack can be lobbed over walls and through doorways so you should not only be using it like junkrat's LMB (I.e. always be lobbing) but use it to create distance between you and enemies when you're ducking into a corridor or a room to regen shields or heal up. Also always be bubbling. Look for friendlies getting shot at and bubble them. Bubble yourself to give a couple seconds of free incoming damage. Only bubble under fire. Eating their fire is going to make you meaner and when you have a good charge your LMB beam becomes a laser-wreathed fucksaw of slavic doom. The difficulty in playing Zarya is the split between wanting to get shot and needing to hide to regen shields but you want to be just dancing on the edge of recklessness, but not so reckless that you're constantly diving into the enemy.

Turrets- especially symmetra's- are basically free energy boosts for zarya. You know there's a carwash set up in that room? Pop a few turrets at distance with alt fire if possible then run in, bubble and blow the rest while gaining charge e: always be calling out your ult status when it's charged or close to. It's weak by itself but owns hard when combo'd with a big-hitter DPS ult

Don't forget to turn on allied health bars under Zarya's hero specific options. It's really useful in general (and I don't understand why we can't have it on every hero), but it also makes it easier to figure out who could use a shield.

Do you think there is a hacking problem in pro overwatch games? I don't want the same poo poo plaguing the game like in CSGO. How much does a full self-heal add to roadhogs ultimate anyway? I don't have test installed, and want to know if I can consider the -40% ult charge speed but self-heals now charge ults change to be a buff, a nerf, or pretty much the same.

Is anyone else having the pre-patch thing downloading through the background downloader even though the game isn't on? Usually I'll have the big bar to the right of the play button but right now it's a green arrow and if I hover over it it's like "we're background downloading the patch stuff". How do I make it go back to normal? I was confused as gently caress about why youtube suddenly decided to take a massive dump until I noticed the download was happening on my battle.net

Default is like 100kps so somewhere along the line you set it to something higher/unlimited. E: or you have DS  and are dealing with like 768k down max.

If you drink it all in and get the full 300 healing, it gets you 20% ult. It's definitely a buff to Roadhog. It's hard to say its too big a buff, though, because suddenly Discord orb will be way more common and Ana's grenades shut down Roadhog hard, so its a buff he probably needed going into this next meta shift.

Eh i don't mind it, like I said it wasn't the speed that was the problem it was more that I couldn't figure out what was happening initially like I could if it was a normal update. Yeah, I get there are some pretty shady clips of some other players but in my 20 years of playing games I've never been so sure that someone is hacking. You can actually see him try to rip away from the locked target but the bot obviously doesn't distinguish alive or res immune characters. The fact so little noise about this was made is shocking and sad.

They also like the way the rank system is working out, but want to find a way to make it obvious that it's a genuine ranking, rather than a race to 100 (possibly by not making it 1-100). They know they can't stop the porn factories. They just don't want Tracer getting hosed by Widowmaker's big purple dong to be one of the first things to show up in a Google search. Pharah's Native American skins got through because Blizz thought they were awesome enough to overcome any sort of cultural handwringing.
