A small thing I would like for a sequel would be a more competitive ranked version of turf war. Turf war is fun, but since really only the last 30 or so seconds matter, it's not really good competitive mode. Maybe having the ink percentages taken from specific times during the match and averaging them together would be good.

Nah, I think Turf War is like soccer: Your team can control the game as a whole, but when the end whistle comes, only the final score matters. Might feel unfair, but that's just the name of the game.

I had a match during Splatfest in which I was pinned down around spawn in Walleye Warehouse. My team and I dropped the ball early and the enemy kept up the aggression and there was no success in trying to mount a comeback. I accepted we'd lose since my team members didn't seem very good at winning firefights. With about 30 seconds left on the clock, I managed to take out half the enemy team, got enough coverage for a bubbler which I used to help me get the other half, intercepted the first two I took out after their super jumps, and the rest of my team spread out and we covered just enough territory to steal the win. Sometimes in various forms of competition a big mistake or a big success can change the tide of battle even if the conclusion seemed obvious before that. Turf War being an example of that is perfectly fine. I've had plenty of matches where I was on the other end of the team falling apart, so it was very exciting to have lead the charge to a victory in that manner for once.

One of the best comebacks I've ever had was when my team and I were being idiots and squid partying at spawn at Arowana Mall. The other team left us alone well enough, but after covering most of the map I guess they got a little bloodthirsty cause at the last minute they started approaching us guns blazing After we destroyed all four of them, two of us rushed the enemy territory, one stayed behind to ink up our side of the map and I headed to mid to defend the choke point and touch up any missed spots with my rifle I don't think any of us were planning on winning but it just happened that way 'Let flopping squids party' - ancient inkling proverb
