Yeah, I think overall Callie's choice had the most successful splatfests, but they did really poorly in the cross-promotional splatfests, something like 1 win to Marie's 10. Also Barbarians vs Ninjas in OCE/EU was pretty funny, 23% of the vote won.

Ninjas had some absurd percentage like 73% of the vote, but Pirates won something like 60% of the matches! Inverse law of ninjas, and all that.

I picked this up during the E3 sale so as far as I'm concerned Marie won 100% of the splatfests.

I got bored with Fallout 4 after I beat the story and Street Fighter 5 continues the BigSexyWitGlasses sucks dick at fighting games gaming tradition ever since SF II on the SNES. I got rid of those two and picked up Splatoon and this game is so much fun. I hope the servers never die.

So I got a 6.5 vibe last night before work (lowest value for SO HAWT!!) talked to Judd and he gave me my 1400 coins but ALSO 1 Sea Snail. I didnt see this on reddit / in here obviously / in any copy of the patch notes, just a random miiverse post in my lobby tipped me off. Doing some testing today to see if its every 4 hours or once every 24h

Stuff that happened while I dropped from s60 to s20 tonight: -Losing a splat zone match because my team never painted the zone even when they had a 3-1 man advantage -A camping splattershot jr. in Rainmaker. Not hiding in ink, just standing in our end and spraying generally in the direction of the enemy team. -My team popping the rainmaker shield and then standing and staring at it while an opposing player took it and swam past them to immediately take the lead. -A teammate who consistently took the rainmaker into areas where it was impossible to advance from -A teammate who actually ran the timer on the rainmaker out because they couldn't figure out how to climb a wall in the museum while the rest of us had the enemy team bottled up. Second highest rank in the game! I'm not sure if I'm more baffled by the occurrences themselves or by the fact that they were always on my team.

They changed the max uncharged ranges and made the e-liter heavy to swim with (but also the dynamo and hydra/heavy splatlings), otherwise it's business as usual with chargers...

Man, teams playing super defensively when we get the rainmaker are the worst. Just played about 10 super close, really fun matches where we lost 8 purely because of dumb poo poo like popping the shield at the start of the match and then ignoring the rainmaker to try and clear off the opposing team, and standing all buddled up at the centre of the map shooting the rain maker at the opposing sides in Heights like a huge dumb target instead of pressing forward. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to play some Rainmaker where your team actually supports the one carrying it, but it's frustrating when you are trying to take care of risky opposition and the rest of your team is all good with leaving an exposed rainmaker sitting there ready for the other team to snatch up. It's the finals at the moment, with both teams having one win. And now they're playing Rainmaker on Arowana Mall. So far I can say Splat Zones doesn't translate well as a spectator sport.

IGN asks the Splatoon team their sides on the Splatfests past and alternatives.IGN posted:“We didn’t realize how popular the squid sisters would be,” Nogami told IGN. “It’s only after the release that we saw how much people like those characters.” Nogami told us that theme for the final Splatfest, which pit Team Callie against Team Marie, was not part of Nintendo’s initial plan. Neither was the amiibo. “We hadn’t thought of doing a Callie and Marie Splatfest until we saw what a great reaction it had from the fans.” But which team did Splatoon’s producers play in the final Splatfest?
