Gen 1: Charizard is best, but Venusaur and Blastoise are both cool dudes Gen 2: Typhlosion is best, Feraligatr is real cool, Meganium is cute but goddamn does it suck game-wise Gen 3: Blaziken is best, Sceptile is a reeeeeeal close second, Swampert? More like swamp rear end Gen 4: All of them are great, but Infernape is a loving Sun Wukong. Gen 5: Emboar is Ganon. I mean...what other choice is there? Serperior is cool, but same issue as Meganium. Samurrot sucks. Gen 6: I mean, do I love Delphox? No. But it's the fire starter, it's still pretty cool. and I sure as hell am not picking lame-rear end Chesnaught. Greninja is cool, but not as cool as Frogadier. Gen 7: Nyandre is loving amazing, but I will definitely need an Owltair buddy at some point. I actually don't hate the siren seal, but I sure as hell am never picking it. Essentially, I will never pick the water starter, but I've only ever felt tempted once anyway (Greninja) and will only pick the grass starter on a second playthrough. Fire starters are the best 6/7 times, and that one time it wasn't, it was still pretty awesome.

I mean, Braixen is very feminine, but it was a middle evolution. Delphox ended up looking pretty gender neutral. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.
