Given that you're going for diplomatic victory, it seems like it would have been better to make peace with Poland right before Catherine takes his last city. That way you'd always have the option to revive him for votes.

On the point of Cataphracts and Companion Cavalry being around at the same time, wouldn't a solution be to do to the Cataphract what patches did to the Berserker? Make it replace the knight, but acquired at an earlier tech such as Guilds.

It keeps all the negative modifiers you've accrued for the fallen empire. So they'd still be super annoyed at him for taking Warsaw.

Civs that you bring back to life are required to automatically give you a share of their votes at the UN.

Nope! It's the other game. You're more than welcome to jump in and guest though if you want.

GARVASE DAY!

I don't know your recording process, if you'd read this before your next session, but you were going to use Oxford on rocketry, you don't have to wait for it.

On the note of forgetting things between episodes, that city Siam 'took' was a revolt that happened the episode before. :)

I have to commend you on your update pace, catching up on this LP from the beginning became a sort of race. :v:

Sadly, this isn't Civ 3 and so it really is impossible for a spearman to defeat a XCOM Squad.

You were one turn away from a Hydro Plant in the Nile Delta, wouldn't that have spiked production quite a bit?

Also, it looks like going wide paid off, with you being able to sell more buildings per turn. :v:

Crap.
Technically, even if it was a Science victory, we wouldn't have made it without a heckuva lot of negotiations. Keeping Bismarck down was a full-time job.

That said, I can't help but feel like there was a lot of desert space that wasn't Kasbah'd by the end there.

At the end I was really hoping for a loss by 1 turn :) Like you were saying in the video, the shift from science to production was a bit late.

Very well done to win on the Mediterranean without even having reasonable access to the namesake sea! Seemed like that slowed you down a lot for money, war, and spreading out.

This game really tells me that I'll definitely never have the desire to play on Immortal. You needed to do what you did vs Germany but it was essentially an exploit.

If only they hadn't voted to ban nuclear proliferation (almost as if the AI knew what you were plotting), things wouldn't have been quite so close. Good show anyway.
