I'm lukewarm on Cofagrigus. I thought he took himself very seriously, but I like how goony his arms are. Tough call, but if my type coverage is good, I'll take him because mummies are very Halloweeny

I was considering expanding to dark types like a Zorua because Illusion is very Halloweeny and Zoroark is kinda like a werewolf, but he's not a ghost buddy.

Oh yes Mismagius has a very good hat. Witch is definitely beating mummy for Halloween, but if I were doing a Universal Studios run, Cofagrigus would for sure make the team.

Suggestions for a ghost buddy Halloween run for Y? I'm breeding (just for low levels, no particular stat) a Rotom and a Pumpkaboo, but I've done a billion runs with Gengar and am trying to make new friends. Finishing up a run with Aegislash, too.

I'm thinking Dusclops is a good one (need to go find him), but I'm a little concerned about navigation coverage (surf, waterfall, cut, strength, rock smash).

You gotta have a Crobat. The Zubat line are vampire bats. (Plus that gives you a Fly user.)

Also Banette. It's very horror movie-y, like Rotom.

There's also Houndoom. He has a skull on his chest. How Halloweeny is that?

Halloween team: small Gourgeist, large Pumpkaboo, Delphox OR Mismagius (witch), Crobat, Marowak (unless there is a better skeleton Pok�mon I'm forgetting), Cacturne (scarecrow)

Torkoal or Weezing would also fit the role of a fog machine.

There are many good Halloweeny Pokemon. You can also include a kitty! We don't have any real black cats, but Liepard is close. We have two spider Pokemon, and three different lines of bat Pokemon! We will soon have two different lines of owl Pokemon as well.

I did a movie monster run of Emerald once and my team ended up being:

Gill the Swampert (Creature from the Black Lagoon)
Lonnie the Mightyena (Lon Chaney's Wolfman)
Bela the Crobat (Bela Lugosi's Dracula)
Mekagojra the Aggron (Mecha Godzilla)
Jaws the Sharpedo (Jaws from Jaws)
Kong the Slaking (King Kong)

Other Pokemon I used or considered using:

Mothra the Dustox
Boris the Dusclops (could not find a Duskull)
Audrey II the Cradily
Gremlin the Sableye
Chucky the Banette
Freddie the Cacturne

Hoenn is a really good place to do a movie monster run.

Too bad Mecha-Tyranitar is only available through cheating in Gen 5

It is the highest level single evo by far. And symptomatic of how awful and degenerate a lot of the Gen V design ethos was.

I really hope Gen VII fixes them a bit by revising to give them more functional evo levels.

Pupitar evolves at level 55, tied with Dragonfire as the 2nd highest level for pseudolegendary pokemon. Also, the level curve in Johto loving sucks, so it feels worse.
