I kind of like how they've done the "obstructive student council prez" this time around. Dia doesn't want Aquors to happen but it's becoming increasingly clear that she doesn't really have control. It's a nice change from Eli shutting down everything in OG. Mari being a behind-the-scenes playmaker is pretty cool too. She's basically Gandalf.

I finally got around to starting this and watched the first two episodes. The first episode was absolute garbage and if the title didn't have the "Love Live" in it, I probably would have dropped it. Thankfully, the second episode was a lot better and was what I was looking for from the first episode.

the closing down thing seemed like mostly set-up for the amazing chika gag and tbh unlike og ll it makes sense the school is closing, they're out in the sticks instead of five minutes from a big city and also the third years have actually interesting drama this time

I'm not the happiest with it coming back up as a plot point, but we'll see how they handle it going forward. Still champing at the bit for more Kanan backstory info. I genuinely really like the focus on community spirit that this show has had. The girls are getting the whole community to help out to save the school and the reason their debut was a success was due to the kindness of the town. It's a good theme I am happy to see in my animes. A bit underwhelmed that the "save the school" thing is being played pretty straight but i'm not surprised since all the promotional material mentioned it. And it did result in a powerful joke so I think i'm ok with it. Three Cookies posted:Yeah i care way more about them than i did eli and nozomi Eli before she joined the group was really bad, it was like if Dia's refusal to have an idol club was her only character trait. Tragic Third Year Backstory on the other hand is incredibly good and even though they're the group with the least screentime it's still giving them focus and intrigue and stuff. It's pretty well done.
