It's actually easy to mention them if you do film studies because one thing they tell you over and over is that when movies started out, no-one in academia took them seriously, they were just cheap entertainment for the lower classes, and by the time they were treated the way they are now we'd lost a bunch of movies that never got critically analysed. So tutors don't want to make the same mistake and nod their head solemnly when you talk about the gender issues in The Witcher. It's loving great! No jobs in film studies, but.
