My FLGS is doing the Full Steam release event this weekend (scheduling conflicts didn't let it get closer the actual Mk3 release). Since it's a strictly fun event, and there's the battlegroup only achievement, I'm debating how terrible of an idea this will be. Khador Army - 75 / 75 points (Karchev 1) Karchev the Terrible [+30] - Behemoth [24] - Devastator [14] - Juggernaut [12] - Mad Dog [7] - Marauder [10] - Ruin [17] - Kodiak [13] - Berserker [8]

Ran Jakes tonight. Def 15 spell immune Gallant is where it is at. Also I didn't realize her feat was a round so my opponent enjoyed all my reach infantry jamming his poo poo. Won on scenario.

For anyone interested, this is the list I ran tonight: Elara -Imperatus -Banshee -Phoenix Max Sentinels w/ UA & Soulless Escort Arcanist x2 Stormfall Archers x2 I wasn't 100% sure about including them in the list, but the stormfalls were well worth their points, finishing off a wounded pureblood, putting some damage on the riphorn that the banshee finished off(as well as a few other models around it) and killing most of the skinwalkers. She doesn't do amazing things for them, but Marked For Death dropped the pureblood's defense to where the stormfalls could easily hit it. Oh, and scything touch is ridiculously good.

Zerkova 2 is pretty clearly our bottom rung caster, atm. Because she wants to run a bunch of squishy dudes who do pow 12 sp8 attacks and that dog won't hunt, Monseigneur.

Greylords of all varieties are actually really good though?? Also pow 12 sprays kill iron fangs really well. And real men take a TAC and slap valchev on it.

Are there still infantry-heavy metas around there? I want to try a Z2 shooty jack/BattleMechanik list, but she's just kind of wierd in the current setup in my area. A relic of a bygone era when droves of men traipsed over the earth.

All khador casters are situationally good, some just have far more good matchups than others. Hark jack spam is a good list style because there's not a lot of answers for that many khador heavies whose only job is to keep you out of the zones. Hurting your poo poo is a bonus. But make a generalist build with him, and you'll get your clock cleaned. And clearly our weakest caster is shitboy irusk cosplayer allergic-to-bees malakov

his battle plans are so flavorful though, why get a defining spell when you have all this flavor (barfs) seriously though even malakov doesn't seem terrible. nothing in khador really seems as bad as mk2 garbage-tier casters did, though powerup has a lot to do with that. wearing a lampshade fucked around with this message at 23:47 on Aug 10, 2016 |
