I dont really keep anything on my OS partition anyway so it was no great loss other than the annoyance of reinstalling chrome

don't use chome use edge.

edge is no joke fast and slim and on tablets especially it makes every other browser look like garbage. its now like not using safari on ios. what are people trying to prove?

the only way that would happen is if you made an mbr bootable boot device with the installer on it, then installed from that, in which case, no poo poo, because you can't do a uefi install when you booted in mbr mode

i surmise that since I installed win10 from a usb stick i got from the it dude at work onto a new drive last year, that stick must have been MBR bootable, and that's what hosed everything up to begin with

Fonts and colors appear to have rendered correctly in the second, so I'm fairly confident that is chome.

not sure why chrome makes the bit inside the grenade handle all that white, looking at the source svg sure makes the edge rendering seem more reasonable
