The controversial method is called smurfing or something like that where the rank 29 guys are actually rank 70+ guys on alt accounts. Blizzard gives some sort of underdog bonus or dumb poo poo like that.

the underdog bonus is for the lower team average dude, the team with the highest ranking player can still be the underdogs changing the range of play doesn't change that people will lower their rank intentionally. they'll do it anyway

It is just bullshit to get like 1/20 of a rank after beating an 'underdog' team full of level 29 overwatch savants. They need to overhaul that poo poo entirely IMO.

Is there any way to deal with people who use the prefer player feature to grief people? A good portion of my games tonight have been with this guy who throws games on purpose. A second prestige level 30ish player who makes deliberately bad picks, plays badly, and griefs with Symmetra by using her teleporter on cliffs.

A rank 58 Mcree gets in some good body shots and can kill flying pharahs. A rank 65+ Mcree is the hand of god and make you fear open spaces more than Widowmaker.

Do you think Blizzard could implement a feature where, if your team won't get on the loving payload even though there's 30 seconds left and you're ten feet from the final objective, everyone who wasn't near the payload when you lose the match gets their buttholes electrocuted until they piss steam?

I wish my screenshot hadn't been messed up. We had a map to escort some car. And a bastion went into turret mode on top of the car. Reinhardt jumped up behind and put up a shield and I followed nearby as Mercy using Upgrade on the turret and we just rolled through the whole thing killing everything. I'm surprised the game lets you be "on" the car. Again this is in the <10 level range. I'm sure some high level team would have cleared us off with ease.

Now I know I'm crap, I'm probably the reason some of my comp games have been lost. I'd like to get better, I think I need to have more situational awareness and logistical thinking about counters instead of running on all guns blazing. The problem is that's what I enjoy most. It's kind of fun in the 30's

When looking at the controls there's a drop-down menu in the top-right corner for character specific controls. Those will not overwrite your general controls, they'll just apply when you play that character. I have Zenyatta's discord on RMB, harmony on E and the alt/charge attack on shift. Works wonders for me, especially since they buffed the travel speed of his orbs.

The more I play the more convinced I am that they went too far with DVa's buff. Her shield should scoop up everything, but it shouldn't be able to be constantly spammed. It should have to hit a minimum threshold before it can be used again once its depleted, or even has to recharge to max again, OR it should go down based on the intensity of the fire its taking. Its just too strong in that it can eat EVERYTHING with minimal effort on the part of the dva. Eats CCs, damage, etc, it shouldn't be just a one way ticket to shutting down the entire defensive/offensive push.
