This is Amos Root, beekeeper. In 1904 he heard that a couple of bicycle mechanics from Ohio had managed to get a heavier-than-air vehicle to sustain flight. Those who rode it have said that more safety measures were taken than was otherwise common at the park. Riders were weighed and hosed down with cold water, required to remove jewelry, and then carefully instructed in how they had to position their bodies to complete the ride.[52]

For the remainder of the park's existence, it remained visible near the entrance of Waterworld. It was dismantled shortly after the park closed and has never been rebuilt.

This was a block from my place, they're finally clearing it out. It started out as a sort of protest at the lack of services for homeless people here and it worked, the province gave millions to finally expand some of the shelters (yay I get a low-barrier shelter next door now, maybe it will keep my renting from going up $200 a month every year) . Then the balance of the camp turned really lovely and criminals and violently mentally ill pushed out the originals and the whole place turned into a mix of a guardless asylum and a bandit camp. Mountains of stolen bikes and goods, tons of assaults within the camp and towards random people nearby. A lot of political fallout and conspiracy theories that the mayor purposefully allowed the camp to get bad to force the province to better fund the local shelter system.
